What happens when you finally stop waiting for the man who hurt you to apologize, change, understand your pain, or give you closure?
You start taking your life back.
Sis, your healing does not require his permission.
In Episode 94 of Through My Father’s Eyes, we're shifting the focus from what your father did to what you choose to do next.
You cannot rewrite your childhood. You cannot force an apology. You cannot make someone become the father you needed.
But you can decide that his choices will no longer control your confidence, relationships, dreams, boundaries, peace, or future.
We're talking about releasing the need for closure, separating your identity from your wound, recognizing survival behaviors, making healthier choices, and giving yourself permission to build a beautiful life after pain.
It's time to say:
You hurt me, but you do not own me.
You affected my story, but you do not get to write the ending.

He may not be in your life anymore, but is the pain he caused still making decisions for you?
Maybe your father abandoned you, rejected you, failed to protect you, or never gave you the love and affirmation you needed. Years later, you may still struggle with trusting people, receiving love, setting boundaries, or believing you're enough.
Sis, he already took enough. He doesn't get your future too.
In this episode of Through My Father’s Eyes, we're talking about the uncomfortable ways a father wound can continue controlling your adult life—even when the man who caused it is no longer present.
We'll talk about survival patterns, fear of abandonment, making new people pay for old wounds, forgiveness, boundaries, and learning to separate what happened to you from who you are becoming.
Your past may explain some of your wounds, but it does not have to control your future.
🎧 Listen, reflect, and then ask yourself:
Where is the pain caused by my father still controlling my life today?

You're somebody's mother.
Somebody's wife.
Somebody's daughter.
Somebody's friend.
Somebody's caregiver.
Somebody's problem solver.
Somebody's prayer warrior.
Everybody knows exactly who you are to them.
But sis...
Who are you to YOU?
Somewhere between raising children, building relationships, working, serving, helping, fixing problems, supporting family, and being the person everybody can depend on, it's possible to slowly lose touch with the woman underneath all those responsibilities.
Not because you did anything wrong.
But because life kept requiring something from you.
In Episode 92 of Through My Father’s Eyes, we're talking about what happens when you finally look around and realize you've spent years being who everybody else needed—but you're no longer sure what you need, want, enjoy, or dream about.
What do you like when nobody else gets to choose?
What makes you happy?
What dream did you put down because life got busy?
Who were you before everybody started needing something from you?
And most importantly:
Who are you becoming now?
This conversation is especially for the woman entering a new season of life.
Maybe your children are getting older or leaving home.
Maybe your career is changing.
Maybe you're starting over.
Maybe you're approaching a milestone birthday.
Or maybe something inside of you is simply saying:
“There has to be more for me.”
There is.
Your purpose didn't end because your role changed.
You can love your family deeply and still have dreams of your own.
You can take care of others without completely abandoning yourself.
You can travel.
You can laugh.
You can meet your girlfriends for lunch.
You can start the business.
You can write the book.
You can take the class.
You can finally do something you've talked yourself out of for years.
God knew you before you carried any of the titles you carry today.
Maybe this season isn't about becoming someone completely different.
Maybe it's about rediscovering the woman who has been there all along.

What if the apology never comes?
What if they never explain why they left, why they hurt you, why they didn't protect you, or why they treated you the way they did?
Will you stay stuck waiting for answers—or will you give yourself permission to heal anyway?
Sometimes the hardest part of moving forward isn't letting go of the person. It's letting go of the belief that we need them to finally acknowledge what they did before we can have peace.
In Episode 91 of Through My Father’s Eyes, we're having a powerful conversation about closure, unanswered questions, father wounds, rejection, abandonment, forgiveness, and learning how to move forward without the apology you deserved.

What if some of the things you've been calling love were actually rejection, inconsistency, emotional starvation, fear of abandonment, or the desperate need to finally be chosen?
Sis, this conversation goes deep.
Sometimes we don't choose relationships based on what's healthy—we choose based on what's familiar.
If you grew up chasing your father's attention, wondering whether he would show up, trying to earn affection, or questioning why you weren't enough for him to stay, those wounds don't automatically disappear when you become an adult.
Sometimes they follow you straight into your relationships.
And before you know it, you're chasing someone else's attention, making excuses for inconsistency, falling in love with potential, accepting emotional breadcrumbs, and calling anxiety chemistry.
In Episode 90 of Through My Father’s Eyes, we're uncovering how father wounds can quietly shape what we accept, tolerate, chase, excuse—and ultimately call love.
We're talking about the difference between love and attachment, boundaries and walls, chemistry and anxiety, compassion and rescuing, and being chosen versus knowing your worth before anyone chooses you.
Because here's the truth:
You can love somebody and still admit they're hurting you.
You can forgive someone without giving them unlimited access to you.
You can see someone's potential without making their potential your responsibility.
And you can stop fighting to be chosen by people who require you to abandon yourself in order to keep them.
Maybe you're not afraid of losing them.
Maybe you're afraid their rejection will confirm the lie you've carried since childhood:
“I'm still not enough.”
But their inability to love you correctly does not determine your worth.
God already settled that.
You are loved.
You are chosen.
And you don't have to audition for either one.
🎧 Press play if you're ready to stop calling familiar pain love and start recognizing the kind of love that doesn't require you to lose yourself.

You learned how to keep going when you were hurting.
You learned how to show up when you were exhausted. You learned how to take care of everybody else, figure things out on your own, hide your emotions, and say “I’m fine” even when you were falling apart inside.
And somewhere along the way, survival became a way of life.
In this powerful episode of Through My Father’s Eyes, we’re talking about what happens when the survival skills that once protected you begin preventing you from experiencing the life God is trying to give you.
Maybe people call you strong, independent, dependable, and resilient—but they don't know what it cost you to become that woman.
Maybe asking for help feels uncomfortable.
Maybe rest makes you feel guilty.
Maybe you struggle to trust people.
Maybe peace makes you nervous because you're always waiting for something to go wrong.
Maybe you've become so accustomed to carrying everything that you don't know who you are when nobody needs you.
Sis, functioning isn't the same as healing.
In Episode 89, we dig into hyper-independence, emotional walls, childhood survival patterns, fear of vulnerability, difficulty receiving love and support, and the dangerous belief that being strong means handling everything alone.
We also talk about the difference between boundaries and walls and why some behaviors we call “strength” may actually be armor we developed after being hurt.
Most importantly, we're asking a question that could change the way you see your healing journey:
Who would you be if you weren't constantly trying to survive?
God didn't bring you through everything you've survived just for you to spend the rest of your life emotionally living there.
You survived it.
Now it's time to learn how to live.
This episode includes biblical encouragement, powerful reflection questions, healing affirmations, a declaration, and a closing prayer for the woman who is finally ready to put down the armor and experience peace.
🎧 Press play and give yourself permission to live again.

What happens when a little girl has to become strong before she's ready? In this episode of Through My Father's Eyes, we're talking about the daughters who grew up too soon—the helpers, peacemakers, protectors, fixers, and women who learned early that their needs had to come second. This conversation is about recognizing what survival required from you, releasing responsibilities that were never yours, and allowing God to show you that you don't have to earn the right to be cared for.
